The core of the Cycle30 M2M platform ensures your revenue stream is completely covered throughout the customer lifecycle, from customer credit worthiness all the way to invoicing and collections. Below are details on specific components.

Product catalog: The Cycle30 platform product catalog is a flexible billing and rating engine which supports the definition of nearly any product and service a machine-to-machine solution provider could offer. Products and services can be modeled in a configurable manager by recurring rates, non-recurring rates, usage charges, discounts, promotions, bundling and packaging, eligibility rules and unit credits. The toolset that Cycle30 offers includes automation tools to allow for "cloning" and rapid catalog changes. Billing can be managed for direct customers or in the case of OEMs, to multiple levels customer hierarchy.

Promotions and discounts are highly flexible and can span all services & can target (or be restricted to) any group, type of charge, jurisdiction, or rate period.

Key features include

• Promotions can be percent-based, flat rate, incremental, or set as tiered discounts.
• Unit credits promotions can be applied at the account, group, or individual service instance level, one-time allocations, rollover unit credits, bulk unit credits or incremental.
• Discounts can be defined as exclusive or non-exclusive. Non-exclusive can be configured to apply to the gross or net charge.

Additionally, the platform lets you configure contracts, as well as portions of products and services including historic payback contracts and minimum commitment contracts.

Enterprise Mediation

The Cycle30 M2M platform's mediation function transforms data from your embedded sensors and devices into guided, billable usage. Cycle30 supports collecting files of usage data records allowing you, the provider, to configure any number of file formats. The solution is flexible enough to handle a wide variety of billable types and formats, from sophisticated IP-based solutions down to embedded microcontrollers.

Usage data records are guided to the liable account, taking into account charge redirection if appropriate, and priced using the flexible rating engine, which can rate any type of activity. The platform can re-rate usage, and it includes a user interface to review, correct and re-process failed usage.

Rating & Pricing

In a periodic cycle, invoices are generated for customers, collecting charges accumulated in the account since the last invoice generation. The platform will

• Consolidate charges (recurring, non-recurring, and usage) and generate invoices and statements for subscribers, and assemble all transactions for an account in a single invoice or statement.
• Consolidate charges and generate a single invoice or statement for multiple services.
• Calculate and consolidate charges that span across an account hierarchy and that span multiple accounts and service types
• Aggregate usage, invoke discounting and taxation, and apply adjustments and payments
• Combine all relevant data with sophisticated invoice calculation to produce an accurate and concise invoice for any type of service

Taxation

The Cycle30 billing platform is integrated with the Vertex Communication Tax Q series. It supports universal taxation rules, as well as miscellaneous tax and tax exempt status for regulatory compliance. The solution also allows for different taxation for different types of services.

Adjustments

The Cycle30 platform enables adjustments to individual charge, invoices, account and service credits, including both billed and unbilled charges. Partial adjustments are supported and adjustments including percents, days or dollars. Tax adjustments are automatic.

Payments

The Cycle30 billing platform provides support for multiple payment methods, including credit cards, debit cards, direct debits, and checks and interfaces. You can apply payment reversals, re-direct payments, or apply unapplied payments. Partial payments can also be applied across a service or services.

EBPP

The Cycle30 platform includes electronic bill payment and presentment (EBPP), or it can feed another EBPP system, processing monthly invoices or one-time payments using all commercial payment methods.

Collections

The Cycle30 platform collections module identifies delinquent debts and helps collect them by identifying entities whose overdue balances exceed certain threshold amounts. Key capabilities include: the scheduling and processing of collections treatment & cure events; collections at the account or invoice level; scenarios that can be defined to customer specific status; configurable workflows and automated initiation of collections activities such as dunning notices, suspends, disconnects and dialer lists.

Invoicing

A flexible invoice feed, ready for your print and mail provider, with tools for effective invoice auditing as well as accurate generation-targeted messaging.

Reconciliations

A series of defined reconciliation reports, enabling your company to reconcile active services versus billing services.

Financial Reporting

Predefined financial reports to assist with general ledger and financial system reconciliation, including end-of-month processing.

Journals

The billing solution provides a complete extract to your general ledger system at transaction and summary levels. The solution enables users to journal all transactions in the system, including charges, discounts, taxes, payments & adjustments.
